Taking to Twitter on Friday afternoon, the five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver confirmed reports that he has signed with the New Orleans Saints. According to Aaron Wilson of the Pro Football Network, Landry's contract with the Saints is a one-year deal.

A native of Convent, Louisiana, Landry starred at Lutcher High School before spending his college career at LSU. After spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, he was traded to the Browns in 2018 and proceeded to sign a five-year, $75.5 million contract extension with the franchise.

It didn't take long for Landry to become a fan favorite in Cleveland, as his speech encouraging teammates to play through pain during training camp was prominently featured in the first episode of the team's appearance on HBO's "Hard Knocks." In his first season with the Browns, Landry led the team in catches (81) and yards (976) while earning his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl selection.

Landry would go on to earn a fifth Pro Bowl selection in 2019, leading Cleveland with 83 catches for 1,174 yards and six touchdowns. Although his production slipped in 2020, he played a prominent role in the team's run to an 11-5 regular-season record and first postseason win since the 1994 campaign.

In 2021, Landry's ability and availability was hampered by injuries, with the Browns ultimately opting to cut the five-time Pro Bowl selection ahead of the start of free agency. Although the two sides appeared to remain open to a reunion -- particularly after Cleveland's acquisition of three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson -- he ultimately decided to return to the Pelican State, with the Saints scheduled to face the Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium on Dec. 24.
